Introduction

ArkWarden ("we", "our", or "us") was built so we never have access to your files. This policy explains the limited data we do collect and why.

Your Files Stay on Your Device

All files you store in ArkWarden are encrypted on your device using Apple's CryptoKit framework. If you enable backup, only the encrypted vault leaves your device, either to your own iCloud account or to a file you export. The encryption key is derived from your pattern and recovery phrase, and never leaves your device.

Information We Collect

We collect minimal information to provide and improve ArkWarden:

• Anonymous usage analytics: which features are used and how often, with no personally identifiable information attached.
• Subscription status: to manage your access to the app through Apple's App Store. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple and is never accessible to us.
• Contact messages: if you reach out via the in-app contact form, we receive the email address and message you provide, along with an internal analytics reference ID that helps us investigate the issue you're reporting.

Information We Do Not Collect

• The files, photos, videos, or documents you store in the app
• Your unlock pattern or any biometric data
• Your name, location, or any identity information
• Device contacts, camera roll, or other system data beyond what you explicitly import

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services for the following purposes:

• Analytics: anonymous usage data to understand how the app is used and improve it.
• Subscription management: to manage your access via Apple's App Store. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple.
• Email delivery: to receive and respond to messages you send through the in-app contact form.

These services receive only the minimum data necessary to perform their function. We do not sell or share your information with any third party for advertising purposes.

Data Security

Your vault data is protected using Apple's CryptoKit framework, with keys stored in the iOS Keychain. We do not have access to your encryption keys or your files at any time. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data permanently.

Your Rights

You can delete all your data at any time by deleting the ArkWarden app from your device. To request deletion of any contact form data or analytics data associated with you, reach out at hello@arkwarden.app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
